Japfa inaugurates a pig farm in Binh Phuoc Province

With a total investment of nearly VND400 billion, the 40-hectare farm will provide a safe and sustainable pork supply source to meet the demands of the local market. With 24 barns and a 48,000-head capacity, Phu Rieng farm will supply more than 100,000 pigs, equivalent to more than 11,000 tonnes per year.

The swine farm in Phu Rieng is built with fully automatic technology

"It is the pioneer swine farm in Vietnam designed and built in accordance with the world's latest models and advanced technology, "General Director of Japfa Viet Nam, Arif Widjaja, said.

The project is built with fully automatic technology and is easy to clean thanks to the use of 100% woven sheets, reducing the construction area by up to 40 percent. It has also reduced operating costs and is eco-friendly thanks to the wastewater treatment system, which follows strict standards of management agencies.

As one of Japfa's key markets in Asia, Japfa Vietnam has always been a top priority in the group's expansion strategy, which aims to bring the livestock production industry in Vietnam to the top of the list of advanced countries in the region. Therefore, Japfa Vietnam put into operation a 48,000-head fattening swine farm in Phu Rieng District, Binh Phuoc Province as part of great efforts of the company in controlling all the self-contained animal husbandry supply chain, from genetics to breeding sources, feed, pen structure, nutrition, and biosafety.

Mr. Arif Widjaja shared, "We hope that the new farm will contribute to stabilizing pig prices as well as pioneering the breeding model, barn specifications, and raising standards of the livestock industry in Vietnam".

Japfa entered Vietnam in 1996 through a joint venture with the state-owned Vietnam Livestock Corporation. In 1999, the company became a 100 percent foreign-owned company under the name of Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd, with headquarters in Huong Canh Town, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province.

The company is now operating six feed production factories, more than 1,000 poultry and swine farms, and a network of more than 40 stores selling meat and processed foods under the brand name Japfa Best. With over 5,000 skilled employees, Japfa is gradually expanding its business, contributing to animal husbandry development in Vietnam./.
